My life
Three passions have governed my life:
The longings for love, the search for knowledge,
And unbearable pity for the suffering of [humankind].
Love brings ecstasy and relieves loneliness.
In the union of love I have seen
In a mystic miniature the prefiguring vision
Of the heavens that saints and poets have imagined.
With equal passion I have sought knowledge.
I have wished to understand the hearts of [people].
I have wished to know why the stars shine.
Love and knowledge led upwards to the heavens,
But always pity brought me back to earth;
Cries of pain reverberated in my heart Of children in famine,
of victims tortured
And of old people left helpless.
I long to alleviate the evil, but I cannot,
And I too suffer.
This has been my life; I found it worth living.
I despice competing.

Yes I know and I've heard umpteen times...
That in this world, competition exists EVERYWHERE.
I feel that it is true.. in sports, games, work and even studies. omgosh.... can't we cut it off and acheive peace and harmony together?
Maybe its man's nature for competition.
But i am sorry.
I am not interested in this childish manner of "climbing a step higher by defeating your target".
We should not try to seek improvements in such a narrow minded manner.
Even so, it is pointless to compete.
[ There are approximately 24 billion people in this world. AND not to mention. Every second, hundreds and thousands are born. How on earth will die-hearted competitors manage to defeat them all and claim to reach the top? ]
Man should seek and provide help with humbility from one another and improve as a whole.
By sharing experiences and knowledge, we will grow as a unit, not part as individuals who sheds hope and warmth.
From my past experience, competition severes relational ties.
Sacrificing priceless relational ties for the sake of individualistic benefits is downright selfish.
Therefore, we should seek to acheive heights[Improvements] by breaking our own potential barriers, with our present selves as the target to overcome, NOT others.
"Growth is retaining one's self originality with maturity and non about constructing walls of change to tower the inferiority complex!!"
A pure moment.

ONCE IN AWHILE.
Sit down, rest yourself,
place your mind in your soul,
and feel, NOT think.
Please,
Have a feel and rekindle your inner goal in life.
Recall what it is that gave you drive, to persevere despite the odds.
In this reality forsaken world, whatever that comes into contact with us are merely superficial.
Do you value? Do you appreciate?
Think about it. Before its too late.
The piggy bank that comprises of your childhood savings, do you have the heart to even spend a single cent from it?
Its the memories that we value from it. NOT the monetary value.
If we can learn to treasure the hidden values in life, we will resolve to living life to its fullest.
Our future defines our character for it takes more then resolve to resolve worldly desires
in reality.
It takes definition, spirit and inner drive.
placing your priorities infront of others, its no doubt selfish.

Today, I've unintentionally came across a text from the friendster's horoscope section.
I totally disagree to a portion of its statement.
Its highlighted in bold.
"When someone asks you what you want today, you may surprise yourself when you can't come up with an answer. It's not that you have everything you need, it's that you really haven't given enough thought to what you want -- and that is a real problem. It's not selfish to put energy toward achieving your own desires instead of the desires of other people. In fact, it's necessary sometimes. So put your own needs on the front burner, today. Figure out your priorities so you'll be ready next time."
"Its not selfish to put energy toward acheiving your own desires instead of the desires of other people"? NOT really.... I FEEL that its selfish to do so.
First of all, selfishness is being defined as self centeredness.
A self centered person [ selfish ] does everything without considering the impact it will have on others.
A desire, is associated with a WANT. Not a NEED.
A want is what we long for, something that tempts us to possess it, BUT its not a neccessity in life. We can still survive without having what we desire.
HOWEVER, a need is what we require to ensure a progression in our existance in reality. e.g. Air, food, LOVE.
Therefore, a need MUST be placed ahead of a WANT.
As humanbeings, we have a natural flare to love and care.
That makes the difference in this reality forsaken world. Love is a need.
Whenever we help others to get what they desire, they feel the love and care that we've spread. Its not the thought of attaining what they've longed for that made them feel elated, but the thought of being cared and loved that made them feel valued, that re-ensured to them, their existence in reality.
Therefore, helping others to get what they desire is a need because LOVE [a nesseccity] would be experienced by both parties.
Thus, placing our desires [a want] infront of the desires of others [ a need ] would be deemed as an act of downright selfishness.
As sentimental beings, we are born to love.
My priority in life would be to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Now, if i were to place my desires ahead of the desires of others, i would've gone against my conscience and values.
If everyone were to place the desires of others ahead of their own selfcentred desires, wouldnt it make the world a much better place? No doubt it will.
So, think twice before you oblige a plea of help from someone.
placing your priorities infront of others, its no doubt selfish.
"Sit quietly, doing nothing, spring comes and the grass grows by itself."
Time does not wait, not even for a fraction of a milli second.
The deluded detest time for it brings forth a frame, a cage, hence jailing them, their freedom.
On the contrary, I was comparable to the latter.
I hated being caged by time, my timetable. Having my leisure periods "watched" over and limited. That tick in the clock, so soft but deafening much to my dislikes.
I was just too playful, too ignorant about the what-matters-most in life.
All i ever cared about was having fun, hanging out with friends till dawn breaks.
Theres no zest at all. No goals.
Because of that, every Sundays a drag as next days school.
Every holidays a fake because it shadows that dreadfulness[school]
But without time, how are we able to measure companionship? Appreciate advancements and improvements?
Without it, everything would be taken for granted, even living, as it would have been thought so as being eternal. There will be no sense of urgency due to the absense of datelines.
Imagine, what would the world be like without time?
Freelance, carefree,a haven or chaotic?
In the present society, good and evil have unleashed a turn of events JUST to determine the triumph of either, light or darkness.
Abandoned in the swirl of a whirlpool, the concentration determines the outcome. The concentration of its impact and dominance over the past, present, and future.
For what it seems like, approximately 70% of the society, are along with the ideal that kind, pure, good-hearted souls would not strive in the now greedy, tarnished, corrupted restructuring of the society.
This has spurred a chain of events that would ensure victory for the negativity.
So much so the magnitude of its influence that even Good-Samaritans are deemed NAIVE and Challenged.
The medium for improvement, sparked man's Greed to seek perfection. I agree that ignorance is bliss but its inapplicable for such circumstances. Its Man's destiny and fate that bestowed upon they were by imperfection. Therefore shouldn't we heed this feat and retain humbility as well as humanity for the sake of subdueing Greed and corruption? Shouldn't we keep in mind that we were once born GOOD? Theres no need to ask for more, and more and more!!!! Someone once said to me that if we were to look around observantly enough, all the great and priceless things in life are given to us free, such as LOVE.
Now, wheres the love, the care, thoughtfulness and good natured will in man[not all]?!
In America [ one of the most socialised countries] , the negligance of healthcare had resulted in the inclination of deathtolls. During 911, heroes whom risked their lives to save the many were doomed fatal, life threatening diseases. Medical bills were unaffordable and hence their only hope was to seek salvation from the higher ups, the Government. However, their plea for help was rejected. The HEROES were dumped out of hospitals when they could not afford the bills. Left on the streets to, simply await DEATH.
Does socialization play a part in such acts? For what it seems like, richer socialised countries lack humanity. They "sacrificed" humanity for the sake of progression, for the sake of "not losing out" in terms of POWER and FAME. Ridiculously, it seems that only ignorance gave attention to the needy.
I would prefer the conventional way though, democracy, diplomacy and our values over inhumane, underhand methods to POWER, only, passive progression towards globalising perfected imperfection. Cant we be conventional? If we can't, why bother to uphold the flawed conventional current law instead of restructing the whole Physics' laws based on electron flow?
Upholding our values, being conventional and resisting temptations does not deem us man weaklings. In a matter of a fact it would meant our re-evolution, spiritually and intellectually into greater beings. Harmony, peace and balance would then be achieved, a state where the values of evil and darkness would cease to exist.
As such, wisdom would be made known. And the pure hearted, are vulnerable no more. The good[light], is pure, easily taken over by darkness but, with wisdom, it knows how to react and is a strong force that conquers darkness.
" The now, the present, is a powerful force, so feared by us man that we turn to the past and seek hope in the future."
